Sorry for the delay in posting the photograph, I had gone for the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab!! Anyways the topic decided was water!! Now what happens in UDCT after the first three years is that guys forget about the ‘water’ they had been drinking since they were kids and replace it by something else ;)

What I love about this photograph is the fact the my good friend here is drinking ‘water’ and Chandramukhi behind him, looks so utterly impressed ;)

Today was Alok’s turn to decide the topic but i guess he forgot…  and Abhijeet put up a photo of glass ware… So i decided to put up a photograph i had randomly taken this morning… Nothing was planned! Just saw this pigeon out of my window, the camera was lying on the table, so just shot it!!

Well i just cant get enough of light painting… anyways, after this i wont be posting light painting pics for some time… this pic was taken from my chunabhatti terrace…. its the EASTERN EXPRESS HIGHWAY!!

ANGEL (WELL, NOT REALLY!! ;) )

So abhijit msged me yesterday informing me of todays topic.. People… So i thought of combing the people part with light painting (which i have become a huge fan off)!! My ‘model’ for the evening was chaitanya.. one of my very close frnds andour aim was create a halo and depict chaitanya as an angel looking down on earth!! But the irony is, the background color is that of hell and chaitanya wears the jersey of the red devils!! still an interesting capture!!

ACUPUNCTURE- THIS ONE’S FOR YOU SHENOY!!

Wikipedia defines acupuncture as follows:

Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating filiform needles into various points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes.

I guess your all pressurized by the sudden work and seminars and stuff…  eat a cheese burst (another form of acupuncture to release stress) and work it out… don’t forget where you come from… ‘THE DYES DEPT ‘ ;)

Best of luck dude

I was supposed to decide yesterdays topic but i ‘forgot’… those who know me well enough, know why the word forgot has been put in inverted commas..!! Anyways so today I decided the topic Modes of Transport!! When I thought about the topic I knew exactly what I wanted to do… On the harbor line after Tilak Nagar Station the train literally arches while entering the Kurla station and thats precisely what I wanted to capture!! Pleased at the outcome!!

THE STATE OF TRANCE

Well firstly I am sorry that i forgot to provide the topic of the day… and i guess the topic of light painting was mutually decided by abhijeet and alok!! anyways thanx guys for coming up with this topic!! It was my first attempt at Light painting… so I took the first picture and man I was thrilled at the outcome!! it turned out to be much more beautiful than what i had imagined it to be!!

With the first attempt being successful, i tried on another shot and this one being more ‘intended’.  my desktop wall paper was brilliant blue in color and i thought why not go in a picture where a part of it was still and the other part panned so as to get a ‘dreamy’, coming to life effect… So i tried it and i must tell you.. i have become a fan of light painting!!

Hope u guys enjoy it!!

There was a time that came after I rejected the NUS admission and before I got a job at Ruia College, when I literally had nothing to do. And it was that time period that I decided to work for this NGO called Akanksha which primarily focuses on educating the underprivileged. I still go there in the afternoons and the satisfaction you get after that two hour session simply cant be expressed with words. So today I took my camera to the center and clicked this one. No trick photography, no photoshop, no nothing, the aim was just to capture the innocence and the masti of these kids!!

As far as the Music photograph was concerned, there was a little confusion, anyways Alok and Abhijeet were on music today and I wanted to click a pic of my mom listening to music in the evening while sipping her tea, but its 5 now and I have to deliver at lecture at 6 30 and my moms not home yet… So will upload that pic a lil later… heres a pic I had clicked at the Kala Ghoda festival though..

Hope u like it,

When I thought of lights I wanted to click a cool lamp post in my compound and  I was about to leave and noticed a much more colorful thing!! My optical mouse… it has a transparent case with all these lights inside!! and just to add a lil extra something, I also incorporated my ear phones which were lying around!!
